Live music has been the heartbeat of the City of Port Phillip since the very beginning. During the COVID-19 pandemic our hearts broke when our beloved local music scene bore the brunt of extended lockdowns and venue closures.
As part of the Live Music Action Plan, we have launched a series of initiatives to help the local music industry recover and bring the buzz of live music back to the local area.
To amp up our support of live music, we recently declared part of St Kilda as a Live Music Precinct. As the first of its kind in Victoria, the St Kilda Live Music Precinct, will support and promote local live music while balancing the needs of venues, musicians, residents and visitors.
