Songs are magical things: some fall suddenly from the ether, others are a slow labour of love. Universally however, they’re inspired from personal experiences and observations of life.
In reverence of such alchemy, MEMO in The Ember Lounge presents “Sing a Song of Sixpence” – which brings the tradition of a writers round to audiences: artists sharing the bare bones of their songs and the stories behind them in an intimate setting.
The next round is a one-off “Duos” special, and a musical genre-bender.
Xani Kolac and Mark Leahy – who form electro-pop sensation, The Twoks will join Americana darlings, Laura Coates and Andrew Wrigglesworth from The Weeping Willows along with David Field and Geoff Morrell, two members from hillbilly-dipped The Number 4 Band.
Doors open at 7:30 pm for one set only at 8pm
