Johnny Bipolar are an alt-rock bank comprised of a passionate bunch of musicians hailing from the Mornington Peninsula. There sound is pulled from an influenced of just about every genre from punk, funk, soul to hard core and dance. They released a self-recorded EP on the 23rd of June. There is an interpretable story from start to finish, so if you have the time please listen from start to end.
Growing up on the beaches of the Western Port Bay, Suzi writes songs about how she feels about boys and people who don’t respect her. She grew up in a musical family and always believed music was her in future; as she watched one of her older brother from Melbourne band Choke On It, she knew she wanted to be on stage too. Finding who she is, wasn’t an easy process. Suzi has been through her fair share of bands but when she landed on her solo project, it felt right. Her bank of songs has built up over the years, the time had come that she polished them off for her own pleasure. Listening to her play, you can find yourself in the shoes of your younger self, still trying to find your footing in the world. Moving to Thornbury at 18 was a drastic change. Away from everything she knew, Suzi has now found inspiration in the unknown.
