Melba Big Band

The Melba Big Band was established in 2018 by pianist Catherine Conner with five saxophones, four trombones, four trumpets and a three-piece rhythm section as a vehicle for female musicians of all ages.

The band has played knock-out shows at The Jazz Lab, 303, Dizzys, MEMO Music Hall and Castlemaine Jazz and Mordialloc Big Band Sunsets Festivals.

These lovely ladies play the best of the vintage big band era with a dash of the modern.
