A new progressive pop duo with electronica & afrobeat influences, So… is a collaboration between multi-instrumentalist and producer Chris Pehrson (from prog-rock band Me In A Dream) and topliner Madam Nightingale (local fringe award nominated artist Phaedra Gunn).
Performing live for the first time at the Espy for Melbourne Fringe in October 2024, So… were selected as a Melbourne Fringe Judges’ Pick. Ideal act for fans of The Tom Tom Club, Moloko & Tom Misch; their first collaborative demo 'From The River' was awarded an honourable mention in the international Collaborative Music Contest.
Set Up
Madam Nightingale on Vox & Chris Pehrson on Backing Vox, Synth, guitar, keys.
The band prefer to perform as a duo at a powered/rain-proof site as they're 60% electronic. If the venue doesn't have light & sound etc.
They have their own lights & gantry, PA/mixers, smoke machines & tech/roadie who is happy to support the band for $180 per gig.
The band ideally suit traditional pubs & music venues & festival-style Live n Local activations.
